Judging system 70th Anniversary Country Competition Show of the
Dutch Bull Terrier Club (NBTC)

In the anniversary show of the NBTC there will be a competition between several European countries. This competition will be held on the sunday of the anniversary show weekend of the NBTC.

Arrangement of the classes:
The competing Bull Terriers will be devided in four (4) classes:
- Dogs with the maximum age of 24 months
- Dogs older than 24 months
- Bitches with the maximum age of 24 months
- Bitches older than 24 months

Total delegation per country
Each competing country can delegate two Bull Terriers per class. In total each country can delegate 8 Bull Terriers for the whole show.

Ring numbers
Every competing Bull Terrier will receive it's own unique ring number. To keep everything as objective as possible, the ring numbers will NOT be related to the competing country. In any way the names of the Bull Terriers and the countries they are competing for, as well as the corresponding ring numbers will not be disclosed to the judges.

Judging system
Since this is not a regular dog show but a country competition, the normal Dutch dog show ratings such as Excellent, Very Good, Good and Mediocre will not be used. In stead, another rating system will be used.
The following judging system has been used for several years on the annual puppy show of the NBTC and has been proven as the most fair system at shows like this, where more than one judge is used in the same class.
In this competition there will be three judges who will judge every competing Bull Terrier on his/her own. In the ring there will be no consultation between the judges about the judgement of the dogs. Every judge will give an indepentent judgement.
Every judge will rate the 11 best Bull Terriers in the class with points in the following sequence:

First place : 12 points
Runner-up : 10 points
Third place : 9 points
Fourth place : 8 points
Fifth place : 7 points
Sixth place : 6 points
Seventh place : 5 points
Eighth place : 4 points
Nineth place : 3 points
Tenth place : 2 points
Eleventh place: 1 point

The remaining competitors will receive no points.
After this rating the judges will deliver their rating-list to the table of the jury. The jury will calculate the total score for every competitor. After that they will calculate the total score for the two competitors per country. In the end there will be a total score for every country. The country with the highest score will win the class. The winning country for that class will be awarded with a separate trophy, as well as the runner-up country.
If the calculation ends in a draw, the country that has the most rankings of 12 points in that class (maximum score) will be appointed as the winner of the class. In the hypothetical situation that these scores are also a draw, the most rankings of 10 points will be looked at, and so on until a decision is forced.
After every class, the jury will disclose the total amount of points per Bull Terrier and also the total amount of points per country, so the spectators can follow the latest developments.

Calculation for the show winner
Every awarded point to a competing Bull Terrier will count for the total of the show winning country. After the judging of the four classes, the jury will calculate the total amount of points received per country. The country that has been awarded with the highest total of points will win the NBTC 70th Anniversary Country Competition Show and will be awarded with a special and unique trophy.
If the hypothetical situation will occur, that two or even more countries have ended with the same total amount of points, the decision will be forced in the same way as mentioned before. The country with the most Bull Terriers that have been awarded with 12 points wil be the show winner, if there is still a draw, the most rankings with 10 points and so on until a decision is forced.

Every awarded point will count for the total amount of points, so in the end it might even be the Bull Terrier that has been awarded with one point that can make the difference between winning or losing the show. This way of judging will keep the tension mounting up until the last class, because in every class there can be awarded great deal of points.

We hope your interest is aroused for the way of judging on this show and we hope to welcome you on our 70th anniversary weekend.

With regards,

The board of the NBTC

wyniki skopiowane z forum miedzynarodowego.

I przegral z pieknym psem :). Fanta i Julka w klasie otwartej rowniez mialy 21 konkurentek, Auli i Emma w posredniej zmierzyly sie z 11 sukami, Emil w mlodziezy mial 20 konkurentow i dostal sie do grupy finalowej ;). Wystawa naprawde na wysokim poziomie. Wszystkie psy dostaly ocene doskonala i mysle, ze wszyscy jestesmy zadowoleni z opisow. To jesli chodzi o sobote.

W niedziele Country Competition i wielki sukces Moryca i Tudora - wygrana klasy psow powyzej dwoch lat. W klasie psow ponizej 2 lat punkty dla Polski zdobywali Emil (Banko Jedi Z Rodziny Soprano) i Kevin (Kraton Akka Laurentia), jesli chodzi o suki to w klasie ponizej 2 lat - Emma Buteo Ewimark i Auli Comer From North Bull Position a w klasie powyzej 2 lat Julka (Rosemary Baby Buteo) i Torpeda (Sister of Merci Jedi). Reprezentacja Polski zdobyla 89 punktow i zajela trzecie miejce. Nalezy pogratulowac Klubowi Holenderskiemu. Jestem szczesliwa, ze moglam tam byc, dziekuje Agnieszce, Jagnie, Markowi, Piotrowi, Bognie i Radkowi za towarzystwo i dobra zabawe.
III miejce polskiej ekipy uwazam za sukces i niezmiernie sie z niego ciesze :).
